About Nostos Studios & Apartments
on the Island of Kefalonia Greece |
 Kefalonia
is the largest of the Ionian Islands (Heptanese) in Greece.
It is situated in the South of Lefkada, West of Ithaca (Ithaki)
and North of Zante (Zakynthos). Its capital is Argostoli.
There is an international airport with flights from Athens
and charters mainly from England. There are also two main
ports besides Argostoli, Poros and Sami, which are connected
respectively to Kyllini (Peloponese) the former and to Patras
and Italy the latter.
The top of this mountainous island is the Megas Soros (1628
meters), the peak of Aenos National Park.
The most famous sandy beaches are , Lourdas, Trapezaki, Skala,
Petani, Atheras,Chi, Avithos, Ammes, Makrys Gialos and Platys
Gialos. There are wonderful pebbly beaches like Myrtos or
Antisamos, too.
You can also visit the numerous monasteries, like the Saint
Gerasimos one, the natural phenomena of Katavothres-Karavomilos
and the beautiful caves of Melissani and Drogarati.
Finally, we are waiting for you to enjoy our mediterranean
way of life and taste our fine locaL white wine called Robola,
the unforgettable feta-cheese, well-Known all over Greece,
and the special cephalonian dishes, like the unique bakalo-pita
